Non Insulated Fire Windows
Pyropanel non-insulated fire windows are ideally suited for external locations where only protection against flame spread is required, and where there is no risk of injury or fire spread due to heat radiation. Must not be used in fire escapes, or any location where occupants could be exposed to dangerous levels of radiant heat
Glass types include Georgian wire cast for 1 hour applications, or Pyroceram® for up to 4 hour rating. Maximum size of 880 x 1500mm as single lites, or available as multi-lites in modules of up to 0.8m2 per module, these large lites provide extensive viewing or light penetration areas, without compromising fire resistance.
Pyropanel now also offer windows that utilise Pilkington Pyrodur® part-insulating glass, which is a perfectly clear glass with the same light transmission as 6 mm float glass. These windows are available in single or multi lites up to approx 2.7m x 1.2m.
Frame types - both pressed metal and RHS tube frames are capable of providing up to 4 hours fire rating, while the Pyrodur® glass is housed in the Pyropanel-Forster framing system. General method of fixing is with anchors.
