PYROPANEL FIRE DOORS - "OUT STANDING" Pyropanel® Fire Rated Doors perform well beyond tested levels in real life situations. During a warehouse fire that destroyed the building and its contents a Pyropanel® Fire Rated Doorset was found to have exceeded its Fire Resistant Level (FRL) by approximately 3 hours when the fire was controlled and extinguished. Installed as the entrance of the MAKA Industries Dangerous Goods Store a pair of Pyropanel® 2 Hour Rated Fire Doors had been mounted in a steel frame and were fitted with Aluminium J-section at the meeting stile. The doorset protected approximately 30,000 litres of highly flammable solvent and although sustaining intense fire and radiated heat (refer MMFB incident report) for approximately 5 hours, showed no visible signs of deterioration other than charred faces.
