Pyrosleeve RF Fire Collar

Pyrosleeve® "RF" (Retrofit) fire collars are manufactured from a steel casing to house the intumescent material which is activated in the event of fire, crushing the plastic pipe and sealing against the passage of flame and hot gases. The intumescent material is unaffected by water or atmospheric influences and industrial environments and is also resistant to dilute acids, alkalis, paints and conventional construction materials, such as gypsum, lime, cement and adhesives.


Pyrosleeve "RF" fire collars are designed to provide a two hour fire rating with existing plastic pipework.

Application


Suitable for use in fire rating plastic pipes passing through walls and floors in:
• High rise construction
• Flats, townhouses and apartments
• Civil projects
• Health care and aged care facilities


Fire Test Data

Pyrosleeve® "RF" fire collars have been tested and approved to AS 1530 part 4, 1997 and AS 4072 part 1, 1992 can achieve a two (2) hour fire resistance rating.
NB. Four (4) hour application is available, contact Pyropanel or your nearest Pyropanel distributor.

Product Warranty
All Pyrosleeve® "RF" fire collars have a ten (10) year product warranty on the intumescent material contained in the collar.

Pyrosleeve RF150 Fire Collar


The Pyrosleeve RF150 fire collar is manufactured from a steel casing to house the intumescent material which is activated in the event of a fire, crushing the pipe and sealing against the passage of flame and hot gases. It is unaffected by water or atmospheric influences and industrial environments and is also resistant to dilute acids, alkalis, paints and conventional construction materials, such as gypsum, lime, cement and adhesives.
The Pyrosleeve RF150 can achieve up to a four-hour fire rating, and is fully tested and approved for use on uPVC, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, HDPE and ABS pipes.
To install, wrap it around the pipe and secure by interlocking the two tabs through the slots on the collar and bending them over with multigrips. Fix to anchoring surface using masonry anchors or metal spikes.

1.
Attach fixing tabs to collar.
2.
Open Pyrosleeve "RF" fire collar and wrap around pipe.
3.
Lock collar in place using inbuilt clip.
4.
Push Pyrosleeve "RF" collar to anchoring surface. Using a masonry drill bit, drill holes though fixing tabs.
5.
Fix to surface using 5mm x 25mm metal spikes or 8mm masonry anchors, through tabs.

NB: Nylon anchors or aluminium knockins are NOT approved.
